Warm Holiday Wishes

Dear Valued Customer,

We can all agree 2020 evolved much differently than we imagined back in January. Despite the impacts of COVID-19, an economic slowdown, and the civil unrest that swept across our country, there were some positives born of thinking differently to respond to the needs of our customers, partners, and employees. Specifically, I have truly appreciated the rapid advancement of collaboration technology and the agility of our team as we adapted to a new way of working.

I’ve also been especially inspired by how eye care providers, like you, have weathered the changes and disruptions. Here at Eyefinity, we were lucky enough to witness innovative ways practices made use of the downtime—from minimally staffing their practice so they could continue to help patients and keep them from emergency rooms, to adding telehealth into their clinical plan. Many of our customers also took the time to attend CE courses through the VSP Global Premier Program and Premier Academy 360. I’m sure you must be very proud of how your team has managed through the ups and downs, while continuing to support and care for the community you serve.

I too applaud the efforts of those with whom I work. In addition to keeping our platforms moving along, we launched call-back technology to our customer care apparatus to ease hold-times and we drove a 30-day onboarding cycle for customers who were eager to expedite their training. We also launched our first virtual Education Conference.

As 2020 comes to a close and we reflect on this year, we want to take a moment to recognize the critical work you’re doing to provide the best care possible for your patients. We hope Eyefinity has been a source of stability for your practice through this turbulent time. Our goal is always to make a positive difference in your professional life.

How Cloud-Based Software Helped Make One Practice More Efficient

With eye care professionals (ECPs) working their way back to ‘normal’ while the COVID-19 pandemic continues and uncertainty remains for all businesses, one optometrist is glad he made the switch to a more efficient practice management tool when he did.

The Eyefinity Team recently caught up with Shane Fontenot, O.D. of Advanced Family Eyecare to hear about his transition from Officemate/ExamWRITER to Eyefinity Practice Management and Eyefinity EHR from VSP Global®. Here’s what he had to say about his experience:

“I purchased Eyefinity Practice Management and Eyefinity EHR in May 2019 and went live with the cloud-based system about five months later in November 2019,” said Dr. Fontenot. “With all the craziness that began in 2020, I’m so glad I made the switch over to Eyefinity when I did. The change has allowed my team to increase our efficiency and see and treat patients safely and effectively throughout the pandemic.”
